- Name
- Email address
- Company name
- Website URL (optional)

Technical and usage data
When you visit the Website, hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically process technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring URL, and request logs. This data is typically used for security, performance, and reliability.
Analytics data
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — deployed via Google Tag Manager (GTM) — may collect information about how you use the Website. This can include pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser information, referral source, and interactions such as link clicks. GA4 does not store information that directly identifies you by name or email unless you submit that information through tracked forms configured to do so.
4. How personal data is collected
Personal data is collected when you:
- Submit the contact form on the Website
- Email me directly
- Visit the Website and your browser or device communicates with the hosting infrastructure
- Accept analytics cookies, which allow GA4 to collect usage data via GTM
5. How personal data is used
Personal data is used to:
- Respond to enquiries and assess whether there is a potential fit for work together
- Communicate with you about your enquiry
- Maintain records of business correspondence
- Operate, secure, and improve the Website
- Understand how visitors use the Website, measure performance, and improve content and usability
- Comply with legal or regulatory obligations where applicable
I do not use contact form data for unrelated marketing unless you have clearly agreed to that separately.
6. Legal bases for processing
Under UK GDPR, personal data is processed on the following bases:
- Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries, operate the Website, and manage prospective business relationships in a proportionate way
- Consent — where you choose to submit the contact form, accept analytics cookies, or otherwise agree to optional processing
- Legal obligation — where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law
7. Who personal data is shared with
I do not sell your personal data. Data may be shared with trusted service providers who help operate the Website and handle enquiries, including:
- Vercel — website hosting and infrastructure
- Resend — email delivery for contact form submissions
- Cloudflare — DNS, security, and content delivery (if enabled for the domain)
- Adobe Fonts (Typekit) — web font delivery
- Google (Tag Manager and Analytics) — analytics and tag management when you accept analytics cookies
These providers process data on my behalf to deliver their services. I only share the information necessary for those purposes.
8. International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Google processes analytics data in accordance with its own terms and privacy documentation. Where international transfers occur, appropriate safeguards are relied upon, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections recognised under UK data protection law.
9. How long personal data is kept
Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to respond, manage the conversation, and maintain reasonable business records. If no working relationship develops, enquiry data is typically deleted or anonymised within 24 months unless a longer retention period is required for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Server logs are retained according to the policies of the relevant hosting providers.
Analytics data retention in GA4 is configured within Google Analytics and is typically kept for a limited period before being automatically deleted or aggregated.
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have rights including:
- The right to access your personal data
- The right to rectification of inaccurate data
- The right to erasure in certain circumstances
- The right to restrict processing in certain circumstances
- The right to object to processing based on legitimate interests
- The right to data portability where applicable
- The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels, may also be used by third-party services connected to the Website.
How cookies are used on this Website
- Strictly necessary — required for core site functionality, security, and delivery. These do not require consent.
- Analytics — used to understand how visitors use the Website through GA4, loaded via GTM. These are only activated if you accept analytics cookies.
- Functional / third-party — services such as Adobe Fonts may set cookies or collect technical information in line with their own policies.
GTM acts as a container for tags such as GA4. Tags that use cookies or similar technologies for analytics are blocked until you provide consent, unless a tag is classified as strictly necessary for the operation of the Website.
Managing cookies
When analytics is enabled, you can accept or reject analytics cookies through the cookie notice on the Website. You can also change your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking analytics cookies will not prevent you from using the Website, but it will limit the ability to measure usage and improve the site based on that data.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across websites using Google's browser add-on: Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. For more information about how Google uses data, see Google's Privacy Policy and Google Analytics Terms of Service.
12. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.
13. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are made. Continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
14. Contact
If you have questions about this privacy policy or how your data is handled, contact [email protected] or use the contact form.
